Herstoria: Moving On

For that woman, the clock stopped ticking two years ago. But she didn’t know, not until now, when the clock starts ticking again.

That woman was taking one step, two steps, three steps, but it was one step, two steps forward, and three steps backward, so she never actually moved forward.

Today, she can finally take a step, walk, and run again.

Saying Goodbye to Flower Boy Next Door

I hate goodbye. But the flower boy next door has moved so I can no longer peep into his apartment.
...

Okay, I'm sorry. That was too much. I mean the drama "Flower Boy Next Door" has come to an end so I need to move on to another drama.

Goodbye, Flower Boy Next Door, goodbye, cute Yoon Shi Yoon ~

The flower boy becomes an Italian mafia

The drama (spoiler alert!) ends happily (of course). Go Dok Mi becomes Enrique Geum's world, and Enrique becomes Go Dok Mi's world. And the other characters find their own happiness too... Everybody's happy. So, yay!

One person cannot change the world.
But you can become the world for someone.
A warm, bright, and peaceful world.
If everyone can be such a world to one person
one will become ten people,
and then a hundred.
The world will be full of happy people then.

Enrique's world, Go Dok Mi.
Go Dok Mi's world, Enrique.

Ah~ so happy~~
Have you found that someone who becomes your world?

And the special thing about this drama is there are a lot of nice monologues and dialogues, which are rarely found in other Korean dramas :)

Love is giving up half of yourself and filling it up with someone's half.
Love is two incomplete halves coming together.
- Enrique Geum

Herstoria: She and Herself

That woman thinks that it will be easier if she’s not herself. She will know what to do, what not to do, what to think, and what not to think. She never listens to herself, all those advices have been said but never been heard.

That woman tries to see herself as someone else. She takes pity on her, she pours much empathy and much more sympathy, but she can’t do anything for her.

She thinks it will be easier if she’s not herself, she will be able to force her to do what needs to be done, to say the words that need to be spoken, to let go what’s not meant to be, to hold on what’s too precious to lose. It’s herself whom she never listens.

Herstoria: Listen to the Silence

That woman finally learns that if she wants to hear the truths, she has to drown herself in silence. Lies come in the form of words, and silence speaks the truths.

That woman realizes that people are afraid of silence because they don't want to hear the truths. They hate silence so much that they have to fill their ear with words, with music, with any sound, because they think silence is the noisiest of all.

Herstoria: Love

That woman wonders about love.

What is love?
Does love really exist?

That woman used to think it really does. But now she has too many doubts. She wonders what has changed. She wonders where the doubts come from.

That woman doesn’t know who to believe. Should she believe in that girl who understands nothing about love, or in that woman who has experienced that thing, the thing that girl thought was love but the woman thought was not.

Randomly Doing Random New Things

Merry Christmas! HO HO HO!
And also happy holidays. What’s your plan?

Lately I’ve been doing some new random things. I have so much fun.
First, I learn calligraphy. I made these birthday cards for my friends. They were disappointed. True story.

Second, I learn caricature. It’s because my friend wanted to give his senior a happy-resign gift, and he asked me whether I can make caricature. Actually, I don’t. I love drawing and painting, but never made caricature before. But well, I decided to try. I used watercolor on canson paper. This is the result. I won’t be there when he gives this to his senior, but I hope there will be no disappointed face. Amen.

And the last random thing is: I learn origami. Okay, this is way too random, but I saw a diagram to make a pretty flower from a piece of paper. It was pretty complicated at the first try, but finally I made it! Cute, right? I’m gonna make some more and arrange them into a beautiful bouquet of paper flowers. No, it's not a promise.

I made them from used paper (Go, Green, go!) and painted them. I took a photo of my watercolor and the palettes. I never washed them. Tips: just let it dry, you only need to drop some water the next time.

Well, enjoy your holiday by randomly doing random new things! I’m sure you’ll surprise yourself with what you can (or can’t) do! J

Someone Special

We all have that someone, who can turn an ordinary day to a special day.
Someone, whose words can make us small all day, or cry all day.
Someone, whose opinions matters the most.
Someone, whose presence in our dreams wakes us up with a smile on our faces.
Someone, who's as important as ourselves, or maybe even more.
Someone special.

Stop Judging, People

Just think about it. You know, unless you're actually a professional judge ;)
