Do you like art? I don't know much about art and looking at them makes me feel amazed and (most of the time) confused, but trying to find the meaning behind them is an enjoyable (and sometimes funny) experience. If you live in Bandung, maybe you've visited Nuart Sculpture Park at Setra Duta Residence before. Or maybe you know about that place but never had the chance, or the will, to visit. Well, you should.
The weather was so hot several days ago, and I had just visited a project site at Setra Duta. It was lunch time so I decided to find something to eat before the next site visit. I decided to go to the restaurant in Nuart Sculpture Park. It's a wonder that the place has its own weather, maybe because they have a lot of trees? It felt so cool, the wind was blowing nicely, it really is a perfect place to go when the hot weather is torturing you.

The restaurant serves Balinese food. You can sit at the terrace and look at the sculpture park below.
You can take a walk at the park (it's free!) appreciating the mesmerizing sculptures by Nyoman Nuarta, or visit the gallery (it's also free!).
I saw a coffee shop sign "Brass & Copper" - which are the materials used to make the some of the sculptures - but it's not open yet (brewing soon).

When I studied architecture in college, I used some types of papers: Padalarang paper for pencil sketches (it's called Padalarang paper because the paper factory is located in Padalarang), Manila paper for ink sketches, and Concord or Canson paper for watercolor drawings. I love Canson the most but it's more expensive than the rest. We used to bought a pack consists of 4 sheets of A3.
Some time ago I spotted an art supplies store "Artemedia" at Festival Citylink, Bandung. They sell some kinds of sketchbooks so I decided to buy one of the most expensive sketchbooks I've ever bought in my life, XL AQUARELLE from Canson.
The sketchbook costs Rp 102.000 (A4) and Rp 172.000 (A3). Each has 30 sheets of 140 lb paper, so it's thick enough to make watercolor drawings.
I love the texture of the paper and it's also nice for pencil & colored pencil drawings.
So, I love it. Even it's more expensive than my previous ones, it makes drawing more fun because I can try various art medium without damaging the paper.
Lately I'm occupied with many things, I almost forget I have a blog. Long story short, I quit my job and together with a close friend, we establish an architecture and design firm. There are some projects to handle right now, so (thankfully) we're quite busy, but very happy.
I really enjoy my job but of course, I still need leisure time! About two weeks ago my friends and I went to a place called Dusun Bambu (means Bamboo Village) Family Leisure Park , located in Cisarua Lembang.

Sitting by the campfire because it was so cold. There are actually so many places to explore but it was already too dark. I need to go there again one day!
Oh, several things you need to know, you need to pay ticket at the entrance (Rp 15000 / person + Rp 10000 / car), and you can exchange the ticket with a bottled mineral water. Let's hope they'll pick something greener soon. Haha. You also need to exchange your money with monopoly money (totally looks like it) if you want to buy food at the food court. There are also a market, camping ground, luxurious *coughexpensivecough* restaurant, hotel, and more.
Grab your camera, put on your jacket and visit Dusun Bambu with your loved ones, you'll love it!
I also participated in a drawing contest by Green Tea Graffiti and yesterday I received an email that I'm one of the winners. Yipeeeee! They'll send me the prize from Korea. I think they didn't know that I lived in Indonesia when they chose me, I'm crossing my fingers hoping they won't say, "You're too far come and get your own prize."
I also (finally) finished my second amigurumi.
The most difficult part is finding the suitable pot for the cactus. Accidentally saw this cute little bucket at Opus One and bought it without second thought. Anyone want the pattern for the cactus?

Full Monty & Thai Lemongrass Beef Salad
I went to Hummingbird Eatery, located at Jl. Progo no. 14, Bandung. It was actually not my first visit, but it was the first time I took some pics of what I ordered there, so as usual I'll share them on my blog.
I went there with my family to have brunch. The breakfast menus are served at 7-11am and we were there at 10.30am. We ordered Full Monty (a complete breakfast set) from the breakfast menus and some drink. Other dishes: crepes, salad, soup, grazing, main course, are served at 10.30am-10.30pm according to their website but the waitress told me that I have to wait until 10.40am to order, so we waited and then ordered Thai Lemongrass Beef Salad, Traditional Rendang Hitam, Tenderloin Steak, and Grilled Creamy Salmon. We left with full and happy stomach heart.
So I know Galaxy Note 2 is not something new, and even Galaxy Note 3 is coming soon, but I just bought it last week because my Blackberry was broken. And because BBM will be available for android too, I decided to buy Galaxy Note 2. Galaxy Note 2 has S Pen and large screen, that's why I prefer it to Galaxy S4.
For the sake of my job, I looked for drawing application for my phone, and after some googling I decided to download several (of-course-free) apps, trying them all, and I fell in love with SketchBook X.
I supposed to use this drawing app to make my work as an architect and designer easier, but I ended up making these...

After my first experience growing indoor plant, I bought another cute growing kit several days ago. Because the last time my tomato plant grew really big and tall, I needed to change the pot and put it outside. So it was no longer an indoor plant...
And sadly, after giving birth (?) to some cute baby tomatoes, the mother (?) died.
Learning from that experience, I decided to buy something simpler... and I bought ryegrass. Well, honestly I LOVE the london bus planter so I didn't really think much before buying it. Actually I bought two and gave one to my friend.
My ryegrass actually grows faster than I expected. And it's so cute.

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon. I was wondering what should I do with all these paintings of Shinhwa members, and then I signed in to Twitter and read this: The first M Countdown Halo Indonesia is Shinhwa.
I almost had a heart attack.

There's no official confirmation from Shinhwa Company yet, but it was a tweet from the promotor, and seeing that it's one of the reliable promotors who has held a lot of concerts before, I think I can safely assume that Shinhwa is really coming here!
Should I be a proper fangirl and buy the ticket, wait for them at the airport just to steal a glance, join the other fans, and hunt Shinhwa members? Should I try to meet them and give them these paintings? Should I go to that extent and be crazy just once in a lifetime? *Shinhwa's Once In A Lifetime playing in the background*
My head is going to burst.
Update: Shinhwa is really coming to Indonesia for MCountdown halo Indonesia, it's confirmed. For me, an important meeting is also confirmed for July 3rd. Great. Now excuse me, I need to go to cry in the bathroom. Update2: Bad news, people, bad news. MCountdown Halo Indonesia has been cancelled. Some say it's due to 'local circumstances', some say the local organizer is unable to hold the concert as planned. However until now there are still no official confirmations yet, neither from the said local organizer nor MNet, while fans who have bought concert tickets, plane tickets etc continue to ask for more explanation about this sudden cancellation.

Made 6 painting these past three days, and two of them are Eric's. Keke. Totally obsessed with him, the nonsensical guy who has 4D personality. He's so weird but he never fails to charm people as the best leader of all Korean idol groups, the leader of Shinhwa who's making a comeback soon with their 11th album The Classic. Shinhwa has been together for 15 years now, with the same members when they debuted in 1998, and they're still going strong. Shinhwa jjang! Eric leader-nim jjang!

Hello! It's been a while since my last post. There are a lot of things I've been doing:
First, I took a Japanese Cooking Class by Chef Makoto Miyamaguchi from (of course) Japan. There were about 100 participants, and the chef taught us how to make Dragon Roll Sushi, Tempura, Tuna Tataki, and Chicken Katsu. The recipes were printed out before and distributed when we arrived. Then, the chef starts cooking, telling us what to do and not to do in Japanese language, accompanied by a translator, MC, and another Indonesian chef. I was busy writing and scribbling and doodling~
After watching the demonstration, we were divided into smaller groups and we tried to make the dish.
Sorry for the mess. Haha. I need to make them again soon before I forgot what I've learned.
Second, I have a lot of puppy time.
The dog at my workplace got puppies! They're so adorable. Instead of working I spend so much time playing with them. Keke.

And, I've been watching Shinhwa Broadcast and their other videos all the time... I'm not actually into Kpop and boy bands (I love Kdrama and Running Man though), but... it's Shinhwa. Shinhwa is just different. They live up to their name, Shinhwa, meaning Legend. They're the longest running Korean boy band, and I'm pretty sure they will always be because they promised to be together as Shinhwa until for.e.ver. Yes, forever.
It's been 15 years since they debuted in 1998, they never disband and they never change members. You can see how much they value each others, how much they love their fans (Shinhwa Changjo), and moreover, they're hilarious. And the more you know them, the more you'll love them. I really can't wait for their 11th album, The Classic. It's coming SOON! (May 16th)
