Korean Drama to Watch: Good Doctor (굿닥터)

Shark ended last week. I haven't seen the last two episodes. Almost gave up watching the drama but there were only several episodes left so I decided to go till the end. It's actually a well made drama with a nice plot, but this is a drama where everyone's an antagonist, well, except this guy.

The only happy person who doesn't even know what's happening around him.

Okay, moving on.

Following Shark we have a new Monday-Tuesday drama, Good Doctor (on KBS2). Starring Joo Won and Moon Chae Won, I think this drama is highly anticipated. I'm not a big fan of Joo Won (watched him as the bad guy in Baker King Kim Tak Gu, watched 7th Grade Civil Servant and gave up halfway), but after reading the synopsis and watching the trailer, I think this drama is worth checking out.

In this drama Joo Won faces a challenge to act as an autistic savant, Park Shi On, who becomes a pediatric surgeon. When he was a kid he was always bullied by his friends and his brother who always protected him died in an accident. He wants to be a doctor and then a doctor he knew (Choi Woo Suk) finds that Shi On has genius tendency. He then received education brilliantly, finished his internship, and became a doctor at Sung Won University Hospital. Here he will meet fellow doctors, including Cha Yoon Seo (Moon Chae Won), and that will be the beginning of an interesting story.

This drama has a good start, with high rating for its pilot episode, and it also gives a strong first impression. But of course you will see a lot of blood... so this is not a drama you can watch while eating snack (at least for me).

*And Joo Won did a good job. I'm predicting some awards are waiting for him for this role.*

See for yourself, and enjoy the drama!
